The Patchogue Sketch Club was created for the purpose of getting people together to discover the value of sketching. Sketching itself is its own art form, sketching helps artists "see" better and enhances drawing skills. Sketching is also a fun way of recording the world around us much more intimately than a camera. The Patchogue Sketch Club Outings are open to everyone and there is no fee, unless the venue where we are sketching charges a fee for admission.

Wednesday August 19th at 6:30PM
On Wednesday the 19th we will be sketching (or plein air painting) at Smith Point, which for those of you painting in Paint the Great South Bay, that’s in bounds and if you get your canvases stamped early you can paint that Wednesday evening. We will start at 6;30. You can park in the huge lot but I personally will be parking all the way to the west side of the parking lot. I know some of you mentioned a band and such, you can go there or paint down by the refuge side where I am going to be.
