Folks, sorry for the late notice....family issue.
I think some of us could use a nice relaxing evening of sketching sunsets so I will make this one simple. We will sketch/paint at the Mariner's Museum spot we like in West Sayville, for those of you that are new, that would be the very back of the West Sayville Country Club. Great spot by the water so it should be cool, and it's actually great for sunsets.
Also, I hope many of you are attending tomorrow evening because I would like to discuss a game plan for next week's Alive After Five so we are better organized, now that we know where they want us. If you can't come, please email me if you would like to help me set up some sort of "booth" and I will need help "man-ning" it. Pretty much, give out cards from the PAC show and our new 'Zine.
The Patchogue Sketch Club was created for the purpose of getting people together to discover the value of sketching. Sketching itself is its own art form, sketching helps artists "see" better and enhances drawing skills. Sketching is also a fun way of recording the world around us much more intimately than a camera. The Patchogue Sketch Club Outings are open to everyone and there is no fee, unless the venue where we are sketching charges a fee for admission.

Sketching Tonight - Alive After Five
Folks, sketching tonight at Alive After Five is from 5 to 9:30 PM.....show up when you can, for as long as you can, it's up to you.
They want us to float, so feel free to sketch from wherever you are comfortable, provided that you are not in the street or blocking a sidewalk for attendees or handicap folk.

This Wednesday at 6:30 PM
This week we will be sketching at Shorefront Park on Smith Street in Patchogue. It's the park where the bandshell is....for those not familar, you can get to it by going down to the ends of South Ocean Ave, Rider Ave or Bay Ave.
There is a parking lot. If it rains, you can sketch from your car. You can sketch the bandshell, the setting sun or the many other views around you. You might want to consider bug spray and a chair.

This Wed at 6:30 pm
We are going to meet this week in Sayville down by the water where if it's nice, we can sit out and sketch or have the option to sketch from our cars if it's chilly.
You need to take S Main St/Middle Road to Seaman Road. Follow Seaman Road South to Brown's River Road, which should be the 2nd road on your right. Take that to the the end until you reach the waterfront and we will be sketching there. It's a good location for either sketching from the car or out in the open.
